How To Remove Carmex Stain
My son left his tube of Carmex in his jeans pocket and ruined a load of his clothes. Almost striking were the t-shirts, some of which he didn't want to trash however.
Whatever ideas to get this kind of grease stain out? Already tried good quondam pre-spot, and they've already been stale. Is it hopeless?

Kim, if you take already dried these items in the dryer, there's really non much you can do. (Estrus will gear up the stain). If not, put a couple drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid on each spot, scrub a little and so launder every bit normal. Dawn is fantabulous in getting out oil/grease stains. Good Luck!

My AMAZING trick for whatever grease type stain is LESTOIL even if its been washed and dried. Its a miracle worker. My grandmother used it on pjs with bacon grease splattered all over the top that had already been washed and dried.
Afterwards the pjs were similar new!!!! Just put some on stain, let sit an hour or and so and wash as normal. Yous tin can scrub if its really bad, but thats rarely needed. Great when you son uses his shirt as a napkin. Adept luck.

I scrubbed my clothing with Dawn liquid detergent for 1/ii hour after I spilt hot liquid Carmex on them. (I left the Carmex in my auto on a very hot twenty-four hours.) The Dawn did absolutely no good.
I will try the Lestoil next.

This is expensive, but dry cleaning solution might get it out. I've had a nice cotton tee-shirt dry out cleaned and the spot was removed. Some dry cleaners accept bulk loads for a set price.

Endeavour using hydrogen peroxide equally a prewash. If you lot have done and dried already, let the peroxide soak for almost 15 minutes. If that fails employ a production called Crawly from the 99 cent store.

If you can detect it, Lestoil is THE best grease and ring around the neckband remover I have always found. Granted, as Marnita says yous may be out of luck, since you already stale the items. Practice the tees take logos etc.
If not, have yous considered dyeing them grease-colored lol. Yous might also effort a mechanic's hand soap, since that's ane of it's functions, to remove grease. Wash thoroughly later though.

There is a degreaser called Greased Lightning you can use it for cleaning or it can be used on laundry to remove grease stains. You might want to give it a endeavour.

Okay, I joined this website to thank everyone above for all your help. I went out on a limb and tried something alittle diffrent. I soaked the dress in Dish Detergent (Not even Dawn information technology was Joy) and bought Oxi Clean Max Strength. I couldn't fifty-fifty see the stains because the shirts were all wet, so I just randomly sprayed.
Put the clothes back in the washer and dryer, and no more than stains. The clothes had the stains for over a month and I assumed it was just also late. Merely that Oxi Clean wasn't playing, information technology was only about 4 bucks but was worth it. Didn't even apply half the bottle.
